Done with a fantastic tour in Norway. What a beautiful country we have!
Thanks to all of you who joined me on this tour! Thanks for coming to my conserts and shearing the joy of music with me!
I just love singing these songs from my new album! And the other songs on the consert. Great evening every time and I can´t wait till our Sweden and Denish tour! That will be wonderful!
Now I am doing some signings for the album at different places around Oslo for the next 4 days. Tomorrow evening I will start at Strømmen and Jessheim. It is nice to meet the audience like this, but it can also be a bit stressful as time is running fast and I can´t talk to everybody as much as I wanted. But people are so nice and positive and I really enjoy meeting everybody!
Now I will listen to some Holiday music and relax and enjoy before working again!
Take care and enjoy!
;-)

Hello Sissel!
I'm glad the first leg of the tour went well. I've ordered your new cd from Amazon. It should be coming any day now. I can't wait, I'm so excited!!! I've listened to a few songs on Youtube. I love "A dream about you and me & Folkestadvisa." I don't speak Norwegian or Swedish, but the songs are awesome! My daughter & I are trying to learn Norwegian. We are going to Norway one day to see the Northern Lights. People say English is the hardest language to learn, but I beg to differ. LOL! I hope you have time to bake cookies with your daughters this holiday season. May you have a safe, healthy, and happy holidays.
Peace, Love, & Happiness

TAKK for gode stunder.
TAKK for i år.
GOD JUL og ALT GODT ønsker vi deg.

Thank you, dear Sissel, for just a few days of pleasure so far, listening to your very touching art of singing.
I believe to feel how deeply you love doing this and thereby bringing joy to so many people.
To me you do!
This is just a very little and limited try to make this clear in a view words. I guess even in my mother language this wouldn't be much easier. ;)
Merry and blessed Christmas to you and your family!

Hi Sissel!
I just received your wonderful new album "Til Deg"... wow! What great listening! Admittedly it has been a while since "Northern Lights" came out, I was only 17 years old then.
Hearing your soothing voice again was like seeing a dear friend again for the first time after a long time!!!
Sissel, you're so great. God bless you on this Christmas and I wish you a supremely productive new year 2011!!!
Don't forget about your American fans ^_^
Love you Sissel, cheers!

Do you plan on touring in the U.S. in 2011? It would be great if you would come to Salt Lake City. Your voice is like an angel singing. I had a friend whose wife passed away from cancer a few years ago, and your song "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room" was a great comfort to him. That was the first time I had heard you sing and I was touched so deeply. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. May God bless you!
Sharon from Idaho
Dear Sissel, A friend of mine sent me an e-mail with a youtube link of you singing "Auld Lang Syne" for this New Year's Day 2011. This is the first time I have ever heard you sing. You have an absolutely beautiful voice! Hopefully, I will have the privilege to see and hear you in concert perhaps this year. The enjoyment you have brought to this Earth and to its people is extremely appreciated by this individual listener. All the best to you and your family for a healthy and prosperous New Year 2011! Sincerely, Ken
Dette nydelige bildet minner meg ganske mye om solnedgang i Edvard Munch's "Skrik" maleriet.
I just discovered your wonderful talent and personality this Christmas season. Thank You so much for the joy you bring to the world. As an aside, my first visit to Bergen was when you were about ten years old! A lovely town indeed.
God Bless you and your family.

Sissel I heard your voice for the first time about a month ago. I am a singer myself and because of certain life events had stopped singing but when I heard your voice and was so touched and amazed that it inspired me to start singing again. Thank you
I wish I could find some sheet music for your songs. They are so beautiful and touching.
Dear Sissel...I love your music. As so many have already said, you have the voice of an angel. So pure. So much feeling! God has truly blessed you. I discovered your music after your last tour here a few years ago. So I hope you can return to the United States soon. I would love to hear you sing in person.

hi sissel...i have been blessed by a wonderful fan from France, who send me some contacts for your websites. I want to see you in Umeå 3rd march, a special birthday of a famous singer/songwriter who is now with the Lord but a wonderful person. I cannot see tickets yet for sale but wanted to know after seeing you in the icestadium umea last christmas, and seeing you briefly in the lift after but was too nervous to ask you for a autograph. It was the first time i saw you live, after nearly 17 years, when i first heard of you while at friends in Fyn,Denmark. Can i get an auto-graph in March....
god bless anthony and victoria, rory and luke, living vilhelmina, sweden from England.

Atlanta, Georgia, would love to have Sissel share her fabulous talent by graciously honoring us with a concert.
We just came back from a short holiday in Stockholm AND the fantastic concert in the Cirkus. We were very happy to meet you after the concert and thank you for making a picture with us. We hope to come soon to another concert of you! Thanks for the wonderful music you make!!!

Amazing....Are you planning a Canadian tour? This would be a true event for us.
I know that we all have our favourite singers and it is possible to like lots of singers within specific genres of music, namely Whitney Huston and Celine Dion who are fine pop singers.Sissel for me is in a class of her own. I believe no other female singer can match her purity and clarity of voice together with the warmth she conveys in every performance.she is truly an angel on earth!
Thinking of you.

Have just signed up as one of your fans. After coming across you by chance on You tube. I never heard of you before, at least not down here in the West Indies. But something in your voice touches my heart. Have you heard of the song "Dream of Olwen" the only persons I've heard it sung by is The Luton girls Choir. And I know your voice will do justice to this beautiful melody. Just like it did on "No other Love" Wish you would sing many more tunes like these in English.
Regards to you and yours

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! ;)
Hi, Sissel
We have no mountains where I live, but I enjoy just walking in nature and especially listening to the music of the birds. Their song is less as the summer goes on, but music is always in nature in some form. Your voice is like the music in nature. It makes me happy just to listen. Can't wait for your next CD. Hope it will be available in the US.
Lee
Hei Sissel. Har nettopp surfet på youtube og gjennoppfrisket barndomsforelskelsen i deg.. :)
Gleder meg til å høre mer fra deg! Stemmen din gjør oss nordmenn stolt. Er det nye konserter på gang?
Hei Sissel. Kommer ikke nytt innlegg snart?
Hi Sissel
I know you always have so much going on, but would you just do one entry in your blog. If you can, tell us what we have to look forward to--a cd, a concert, a visit to the US. Hope you are enjoying your summer. Right now temperatures in my area are approaching 100 degrees. Thoughts of Norway help to cool me.
Lee
Hi Sissel,
I'm hoping for news of a new CD coming out that will be available in the US. Wish the Gift of Love were still available, but I think I'm out of luck for that one. Wish you could send some of the Norwegian summer to the US. It is really hot here this year.
I love listening to your voice. No matter what type of music you sing it sounds great. Count me in as a loyal fan. I try to make people in my area aware of you. Take care and keep singing. The world needs the calming effect of your voice. Lee from Pennsylvania, USA
Dear Sissel,
Just when I think I have decided what song of yours is my favorite, I find another that pushes its way to the top. I wake, and your song is running through my mind. I also love the duets you have done. You harmonize so well. Your voice is like no other. All the best to you, your family and friends.
Giselle
I have started to play your Christmas songs. Not only is it good to have the spirit of Christmas all year long, but the thoughts are cooling on hot summer days. To continue one step further, let me be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas this year and thank you for the gift of your beautiful singing.
Hi, Sissel,
Every now and then I come across something you sang that I have not heard before. "Tenn et lys for dem" is absolutely beautiful. You are right! Music can change things. I wish more people would hum, whistle, or sing. It would chase away sadness. People would be also be happier if they just listened to you sing. How then could they not feel happy?
L.A.
Hi Sissel,
We are past the halfway point of August, and the birds are beginning to migrate through our area. It makes me hope that there might be a Norwegian songbird that would make a short migration to the United States to brighten our lives before winter all but ends the carols of the birds. Hope you are enjoying your summer. "Sarah's Song" is running through my mind today.
Always,
Lee
Dear Sissel,
It's difficult to find anything positive in the attacks on Norway in July, but the way the people of Norway responded to such a tragedy was an inspiration to the rest of the world. The words of the song you sang so beautifully to close the memorial service on August 21 reinforce that response. May the rest of the world learn from this and do likewise.
Always,
Lee
Dear Sissel !
Your country is a wunderfull land !
Your birthtown Bergen is extra sucessfull and your voice is the best of me. You are the most beautifull vocalist on the world.
I like all songs, what you are singing.
I congratulete your franctic success .

Hi, Sissel
Today the sun is shining, and a hint of autumn is in the air. Exactly a week ago we had an earthquake here followed by a hurricane over the weekend. Living daily with the unexpected, I think love is one positive thing that prevails. Maybe that's why your song "Only Love" (Kjaerlighet) keeps running through my mind. When I hear you sing it, my spirits are lifted. Thank you.
Always,
Lee from Pennsylvania
Dear Sissel,
Today I am a tropical storm--not me, just my name. I would rather not be associated with something that causes trouble to people. I hope Tropical Storm Lee just ends quickly. Your song "Weightless" keeps running through my mind. Would a tropical storm be weightless? I don't know, but listening to you sing is one way to quiet the storm in my thoughts.
Always,
Lee
Hi, Sissel
Was wondering if you have ever sung "Stormy Weather?" It's not the most positive song, but sometimes music lets feelings be expressed to help get rid of stress. I have heard you say that Bergen is a rainy area. That's what we have had in torrents in NE US for the past couple of days. The rivers have left their banks and are coming to visit us, uninvited. Gotta go. Time to mop. Hope things are going better for you in your part of the world.
Lee from Pennsylvania
Dear Sissel,
Really miss your singing with the natural backgrounds of Norway. It looks like you were really outside when you were singing, but maybe that was a trick of photography. Anyway, the effect was beautiful and made me want to see more and more of Norway. Hope you haven't lost your interest in nature. For me, nature is a necessity that keeps me going.
A loyal fan,
Giselle
Dear Sissel,
It is getting to the time of year when the trees and flowers are beginning to look tired. The colorful fall flowers perk things up for a short time and then everything is gone. The weeping willow leaves are beginning to fall like tear drops, and the amount of daylight is shrinking. I listen to your songs and wonder what it is like in Norway now. Someday maybe I will know. Be safe and write a little bit to us. We care.
Lee
Hi, Sissel
Autumn began yesterday, but I am looking forward to the Christmas season and your Christmas concerts. I have read that you will be in Iceland in December. I am thinking that means being able to see Northern Lights.
Yes? I am already listening to you singing Christmas carols. Yesterday it was O Holy Night. In the meantime, enjoy the colors of autumn and know that someone in the USA is wishing you well.
Always, Lee
I read comments that you are not an international star. I must be not understanding what people mean when they say that. I read comments from people all over the world who say that you are the best, and I agree. What I also read is that people who want to purchase your records can not find them. In some countries, people say they can not find your records at all. People from other countries can find only 1 or 2. What a shame that everyone can not enjoy all your music! Can't the people responsible for marketing your records do something about this? A loyal fan
Have to respond here because I do not have Facebook. Thank you for letting your fans know about your participation at University Square in Oslo to celebrate 2 special occasions. I send best wishes to you and your country in honoring these two people. The people who organized this event made a good choice when they asked you to sing. I enjoy your blog much better than Facebook. It has a warmer feeling. Please let us know of other occasions when you will sing--something to look forward to. Giselle
Giselle
Sissel,
Hope you still love nature. Yesterday, I was walking and listening to a bird singing its whisper song. Hear this in autumn when the bird's hormones are not off the charts in the mating ritual of spring. Decided to try a duet and whistled softly along. The bird didn't seem to mind. I loved it. Some singers think that loud is better. You know how to sing softly and bring in the volume when it is most effective. Hope you and yours are well and enjoying autumn. I always enjoy listening to you. Anne
Sissel, where are you? Are you ever going to write something on your blog again? What you write is always good. I hope you are not giving up on your blog. It's been about 10 months since we've heard from you. I know you will be even busier as it gets closer to Christmas, and the chances of hearing from you will be less. Wishing you all the best.
Giselle
Dear Sissel,
You are in my prayers every day. I will never forget being with you in Salt Lake City. I wish you and your family the very best always. MKD in SLC
Hi, Sissel,
I was just watching you singing "I Know Him So Well" with Judy Kuhn. You sang your part with such emotion and tenderness. You put yourself into all the songs you sing that the listener feels so well what the song is really saying. I think this is a gift, and I'm not sure it can be taught. I hope you always enjoy singing and want to keep singing so that we can enjoy the beauty of your gift.
Always, Lee
Hi, Sissel,
This week birds from the North arrived in my area. They will stay for the winter. One is the "white-throat," also called white-throated sparrow. The white-throat sings a clear high whistle of 11 notes, give or take. The rhythm of its song is like it is singing "Pure, sweet, Canada, Canada, Canada." We have many white-throats, but Norway has only one "gold throat" who sings clearer, higher, and more beautifully than any white-throat. The "gold throat" is one of a kind. All who hear her are fortunate. Always, Lee
Hi, Sissel,
On Oct. 24 the Northern Lights came to Pennsylvania. If it had been clear, there may have been a chance for me to see them, but it was cloudy. Just knowing it is possible to see them here is encouraging. It made me think of your CD "Northern Lights." I love the songs, and will listen to it, again, today. For those who enjoy beautiful music it would make a good Christmas present. Did anyone ever write a song about the Northern Lights? If not, it would be a challenge to try to capture their beauty in musical notes. Take care, Lee
Dear Sissel,
Nature keeps giving me events that remind me so much of your songs that I can't help but share them. Yesterday, (Oct. 29, 2011) we had a significant snowfall of 8"--rare for us in Oct. The trees groaned under the weight of snow on leaves. It reminded me of your song title "In the Bleak Mid-winter" revised to "In the Bleak Mid-autumn." Trees were lost that to me were like good "friends." Was wondering if we have more snow than you right now? Gotta go shovel snow! Always, Lee in PA, USA
Hi, Sissel
It took me a little while to adjust to the country touch of your album "Til Deg." It was different, and "different" is not always accepted immediately. The more I hear the song arrangements, the more I like them. The idea to take things "a little bit country" was a good one. I also liked "Marry Me" in another of your shows. I like seeing you have fun with the songs you sing. Just keep being yourself. I know of no one else who can do so many kinds of music and do them well. Your fan, Giselle
Hi, Sissel
I have noticed two references to FrostRoses concerts. One is called FrostRoses Classic and the other FrostRoses. What is the difference? I never heard of this until I saw it on your website. There are many things I have never heard of, but I am learning more about music in other parts of the world since I became a fan of you. We will have Thanksgiving in our country soon. I am thankful for many things--one of them is you and your music. Lee, USA
Hi Sissel!!
I love all of your music. You have a unique way of lighting up my life and I'm sure your other fans feel the same way. I finally got reconnected to your blog. May your Christmas be blessed with peace and happiness. God's richest blessings be upon you and your family.

Hi Sissel,I was in Norway from the 12th to the 20th of July 2011. I had nine wonderful days to meet the wonderful people who were so kind to all of us on tour. I stopped in a music store and said I was looking for your CD"s. The lady smiled and said you know Sissel? I said I have alot of your CD's but would like to bring one or two home with me to America. She was so helpful and I found the 2 I wanted. Our tour guide when i ased him about you he said I know here she is a friend of mine and we enjoyed our visit. He thinks so much of you and told me you were doing very well. I have to say that when I heard the news about the terrible attack in Norway I wept for you and all of Norway. have a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Safe travel to Iceland. Hope there will be video posts of the concert. God Bless you and your family.
Karen from Missouri
Hi Sissel, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I have so much to be thankful for, includiing your music. God Bless you and your family.

Hi, Sissel,
I was wondering if you would grant me a Christmas wish? Would you write something on your blog to all of us who care about you? Let us know you are well. That is very important. Someone wrote you have a new home. Could you describe the outside? Are there places to hike? I do not want to intrude on your private life. I just would like to hear from you. You write well, and I always enjoy whatever you want to share. Have a great Christmas and New Year. Today "Summer Snow" is running through my thoughts. Always, Lee
Sissel, I am confused. I just read a comment on your Facebook page from someone who said your private blog is none of our business. Is that referring to this blog? Other than Facebook, I know of no other blogs but this one. If that means we should not be writing here, I apologize for previous comments. I never meant to interfere with your privacy. I only wanted you to know how much I enjoy your voice and the person (you) who I see on YouTube. I like my privacy, too, but unlike you I don't have to deal with that because your cat probably "sings" better than I do.
Hi, Sissel,
Congratulations on your special stamp. You represent your country so well and really deserve this honor. I became interested in Norway because of you and probably so did many other people. I hope your concert in Iceland goes well. Music seems to rise to a crescendo to express the feelings that are associated with this time of year. Let there be peace on earth.
Giselle
Hl Sissel,
I hope your Iceland Concert goes well and pray for safe travel for you and your crew. Merry Christmas to you and your family and your musical family.
Karen--Love from the USA
Hi, Sissel,
The more I see of the holiday concerts this year, the more grateful I am for the concerts you do like Frostroses. I like hearing the religious songs and the classical songs. The other "fluff" songs of the holidays are heard everywhere. The songs you do are CLASSIC. Wish I could be there in person for your concert. Hope you and your loved ones have a good Christmas and that the new year brings you all that you wish for.
Sincerely,
Anne
My Dear Sissel,I miss seeing you in concert so much .. Hello, Sissel,
Just watched your skit "Someday My Prince Will Come." How did you keep from laughing? The whole thing really made me smile--something I'm not doing much of these days.
Thank you for a happy moment!
Judy
Hi Sissel,
Have a happy Christmas and a great new year.Your music is very special.
May God bless you and your family,

Hilsen Gunnar
Sissel
I won't anger you by asking for a Christmas wish from you for your fans. You need to know that many of your fans really care about you and are not being nosy to get into your private life. I'll share something with you about my private life: My mother is dying, and right now nothing means anything anymore. The glitter is off the Christmas tree, and only tear drops remain. In any case, I still wish you a Merry Christmas and also for your family and friends. No Noel this year for me. Goodbye.
Une seule chose à vous dire
MERCI
Just heard you for the first time on a Youtube video my friend sent me. Wow I was blown away by the purity of your voice. Your biography tells me you are very versatile - love the crossover concept. I work with many young people in the singing field and I tell them the best singers are versatile and can do many types of music. You are a perfect example of this! I want to see you in concert. When will you come to America??
God's abundant blessings in the New Year!
Carla N.in the U.S.
Hi Sissel, Happy New Year. I hope you are enjoying your new home. I am so happy for you. Blessings to you and your family in 2012.
Sissel!
Did you see how many people viewed your youtube version of Auld Lang Syne to "ring in" 2012 and all the positive comments about your singing from people who said they had not known of you before? Just as I did when I first "found" you on the Internet, they also are wanting to hear other songs you have sung. I think there are so many people in this world right now that are looking for a ray of hope in this new year. Your voice is a lighthouse shining in the gloom of confusion and indecision. Keep shining. Giselle
Hi Sissel, I am a little late in getting to know you. My aunt sent me a video in an email just a few days ago. WOW.. I feel like you have given me a breath of fresh air. There is so much I want to say, but, such little space here. You are so beautiful and have such a smooth clear angelic voice. I cant get enough of your music. I've been scouring the internet for your songs. It is very refreshing and gives me such emotions, its hard to describe. I cried tears of joy when I heard you sing Ave Maria, and I cried tears again when I listen to Sarah's Song, Hole in the world, Ready to go home. Thank you so much for your gift. Hoping all the best for you and your family this new year. John, near Fresno, California, USA
Hi, Sissel
Here it is nearing the end of January, and we are having our first real winter snow. It is much easier on the trees than the October snow we had last year. But my favorite snow is "Summer Snow" sung by Sissel. It is always beautiful, I can enjoy it any time of the year, and it does not have to be shoveled. I'm sure this 3"+ snow we have today is nothing like Norway snows.
1 - 4 -3,
Lee
Hi, Sissel!
The world of nature is very confused in Pennsylvania. We had a snowstorm in October 2011, and now in February 2012 the early spring flowers are blooming--daffodils, snowdrops and crocus. The groundhog on Groundhog's Day predicted six more weeks of winter, but we really have not had one real week of winter. So, your song "Summer Snow" really fits in with this year. It is also one of my favorites. But so many of your songs are favorites of mine, it is difficult to choose. Take care and enjoy whatever season it is today. Lee
Tonight is almost full moon, and the light outside is so bright it looks like there is snow on the ground. This reminded me of a song I just found called "Winter Light." This song is written by Linda Ronstadt, Eric Kaz, and Z. Preisner. When I heard the song, I thought of you, Sissel, because it seemed perfect for your voice. There is another song called "Winter Light" written by someone else, but I don't like that one so well. I tried to see if you had sung Linda Ronstadt's song, but couldn't find it. Maybe you already heard it and didn't choose to sing it. Anyway, thanks for reading this. Lee
Hi, Sissel
It's close to Valentine's Day, and that reminds me of your CD "My Heart." It touches my heart every time I listen to it, and that is often. It makes me happy and makes even a bad day better. I really like all the songs on it.
Please wish your daughter a "Happy Birthday" for me. My birthday is in February, too.
And I wish you "Happy Valentine's Day."
1 - 4 -3,
Lee
